New Year’s Eve Family Fireworks: Parking in Annapolis

The City of Annapolis will once again host a family-friendly New Year’s Eve Celebration Monday, December 31st. Family activities fill the day and music and dancing fill the night at the city’s free celebration. Visitors should park at Park Place garage and take City shuttles to and from the location. Activities will include face painting, an obstacle course, moon bounces and music performed by kids’ rock bands. The first round of festivities wraps up with on-site fireworks at about 5:30 p.m. Learn more at www.annapolis.gov.

New Year’s Eve Circulator Service

One free Circulator will run from 8am – 2:30pm on the normal route.  A second circulator will begin service to Maryland Hall (501 Chase Street) from 2:30pm – 6:30pm for the children’s event at Weems Whalen Field.  At 6:30pm both Circulators will begin running between Park Place and Church Circle (top of Main Street) and will cease operations at 12:30am.

The Weems Whalen Field parking lot off of Spa Road will be reserved for handicap parking only during the event. Parking will be free in Park Place Garage from 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31 until 2 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1. Standard rates will apply at the other three city garages.

Visitors can now reserve parking online at city garages – Noah Hillman, Gotts Court, and Knighton. Please navigate to the garage of your choice, and select “Buy Daily Parking.”
